So I was tired of hearing how the Hades woods are the greatest woods ever, and I decided to get a set of my own just to check. People were telling me that their clean Hades woods were hitting farther (though they did not say how much farther) than their existing woods, presumably Titan, Zeus, or Hestia. That's great, right? Well, let's look at what SO reported! Except SO compared the Hades to the Blasts, which are the shortest hitting woods, and this this is a really, really stupid comparison. B+ for effort SO, D- on execution.

So, without further ado, on to the results:

I will caveat my results by saying that I did not do pixel-perfect testing like Alan does. However, I am guessing most people do not have the time to retry a shot 10 times on the course to get a pixel-perfect shot, so this should be more representative of actual playing conditions. I did average a bunch of shots to get a feel for where the shot was ending up when coming up with my number above. When I hit shots +/- 1 pixel on power and +/- 1 pixel on aim, shots generally landed within 1y of each other, so there was really not much variability. The stats used were 42 P / 60 I / 606 SK, Zodiac II Gem, High Angle +2 Kit, and I don't know if the results would be different with a different loadout. I attached a screenshot below showing that I actually do have all of the clubs mentioned...too often I see rumor thrown around as fact, so you can be sure that is not the case here.

In summary, the Hades clubs appear to be better on distance alone. They hit 5-6y longer than the Zeus clubs. However, for me, that means they hit less than 1% longer than the Zeus clubs. It is possible that these distance differences will vary by level or stats, but that could be a bit of a stretch. It is probably not worth trying to upgrade, unless you have a ton of NG lying around. I have not checked how much sidespin these clubs have, their height, or how they interact with greens, but I am going to venture a guess and say it's all the same. Hopefully this helps!

If it's only that little difference with your stats, then with less stats the difference will be even less, so no use to buy them when already have good clubs.

And yes, silly to compare them to blast, maybe SO thinks that blast/mighty/frost woods are very good, you can also see that when they are in club boxes, lol.

HAD SAME +/- 6 Y DIFF WITH TITAN

BUT WITH TAIL WIND DIFFF IS MUCH BIGGER

AND IRONS ARE LIKE TITAN ( I MEAN DE BS IS SAME)

Yes it can.

It has been a week or more now that I have been using the Hades 1W. Nice club. I can confirm that it hits exactly like a Titan/Zeus/Hestia (same height and bend), but it is just longer, as if you had added 13-17 skill on your old Titan.

Yes Poseidon and Hades have powers that put them in the upper echelons of power in Greek mythology. But both were terrified of Typhon, the giant who threatened .
Even though Hades is more powerful, that doesn't mean he has to be king. Look at Poseidon. He's more powerful than Zeus and more likable, but he isn't king either. Zeus is better at ruling than Poseidon and Hades.
