I see high level players opting to run with higher levels of power. Presumably this is due to diminishing returns of skill stats at a certain amount.

Can anyone confirm the level of skill where is becomes beneficial to invest more in power?

The higher levels of power may or may not be intentional. Sometimes, the higher level of power might be the minimum amount they can have. When you start adding on zodiac pins, for instance, power goes up and it can't be redistributed to other stats instead.

On my toon, this ends up getting exacerbated on EXP weekends. I did add some stats to power so that during the week, even if I run out of pins, I maintain a certain minimum level of power so that my character is still playable. Adding the pins boosts that up. Then, I'll use a wristband with up to two zodiac III pins in there. If the wristband happens to be a power wristband, that's up to nine power stats that are going away when I'm not playing for EXP. It does make it looks like I am intentionally running a really high power build, though.

If the fedora A100 plus items were really cheap (say, 25 mil), I would totally rebalance my stats around whatever other items I am using. However, they are not, so I just sometimes have really high skill.

All that said, it probably doesn't hurt to boost power up to 40 or so; the 30-35 power often-suggested minimum is really just that: a minimum.
