The colors are way to bright imo. It kinda ruins the tag...

And also on the left lower corner those "effects" seemed like they were draw in paint.

EDIT: Hmm try lower down the color dodge layer , or what you did....exposure etc. Lower that down , and try adding a nice gradient map.

Yeah I kinda noticed that, and believe me, it'd look worse if I had kept the photo filter I had on.
Thanks for the advice.

Okay Megas I been pondering that Samus siggy.I think you should keep the colors you have now.New Layer apply it, gaussian blur it,then hit lighten and erase everything AROUND the render not the render itself. Then try to use a black and white G-Map um since the render is bright and the bg is dark then I think you should set the opacity to about 35%.Once you do that take your handy dandy black brush soft ofc. and brush the bg and then lower the strength on the brush to maybe something like 45-50% and brush over the render that way you don't totally lose its brightness effect.OR you could just not do the G-Map step and just use a soft pixel white brush and brush the BG and lower the opacity on it.I think that might help it a bit.I dunno I guess it just seems a bit too dark and what not for that render. Also wanna see what the GB lighten effect will do to the ripple I think it is.

Tbh I was just trying out something with the Samus siggy. I never seem to make sigs like Sly or Sharky or even Hawky's new style; I just wanted to try out a messy, kind of battle-scenario sig and it failed. I'm thinking of taking it out of the gallery because it just brings all the other sigs down.
What I might do, however, is redo the sig completely because I see a lot of things I don't like about it (eg. the smudging around the render) and I think this render has potential.

Thanks. I just noticed that I wasn't too good with C4D's so I decided to work on that. Gonna work on smudging afterwards.
Also, I went to the World Skills London 2011 event today in a school trip and made this on PS CS5.1 there.

I know it's not my best, but I was a bit distracted there.
I *le* inserted my memory stick and saved both mine and a friend's work to bring home.
For his first time, he was pretty good. I taught him quite a bit ofc.

Lol someone got to show off huh.Anyway I like the Minato siggy. The only thing I have a prob with is the text. Its not bad positioning or anything it is just that you have the same prob I do when getting that effect. The "M" is kinda over lapping the other "M".Its not that bad but just something that I noticed.Either way nice job.Your friend did a pretty decent job for his first time.

Yes your friend did a nice job for his first time in ps. He has a good artist eye and about effects. I can see it. He should needs some practice thats it. Unless that he has a good eye.

He's quite interested in PS, I told him once he starts using it he should join our forum >:O
@ Lilo - Thanks Lilo. The 4th took me 3+ hours to make because I wanted it to be my best (and I think I succeeded in that) and the 5th one was quite fun to make because I had to experiment a lot with C4Ds and others and it reminded me of when I first started using PS.
