# Can't get into game

When trying to get into game see ‘Reading update info file is failed’.

If you close that it then goes to login page and after entering ID & password just hangs.

exactly same for me, even tried doing a clean install . happening on another house pc .so another SO cock up

This approach might help.  
First, please shut down your computer and then restart it.  
Sometimes this alone will resolve the issue.

If the problem persists, please change the update channel.  
You can do this from the game launcher’s options menu.

It’s important that you **close and reopen the launcher, after making the change!**  
After that, try starting the game again.

You can also read the [instructions on SOpedia](https://sopedia.mywikis.eu/wiki/Update_Kanal_%C3%A4ndern).  
If necessary, please use a translator.

I managed to get in by running game through a VPN.

did the same to me . changed the update server still does it ,uninstalled game and reinstalled , still does it
